Our Story

R/C Hangar is run by myself Joe, I have been involved in the hobby for more than 40 years so there is loads of experience to assist anyone in the hobby.

I started at the age of 9 building the kiel Kraft and Guillows kits going from there to building A2 gliders and flying free flight for many years. Eventually RC gliders bit and flew in many competitions with very satisfactory results.

Power RC flying was the next step building Carl Goldberg senior falcon then to low wing Carl Goldberg Skylark 56 and the Kwik Fly where I got involved in flying serious aerobatics with the lady luck.

Eventually came the joy of building and flying scale aircraft and the satisfaction of seeing my creation fly. I continued to gather knowledge of how to weather aircraft and to manufacture and add detail to make my planes very competitive.

The ultimate was achieving my full size licence and been able to fly the models as well as the real thing.

My first design was the Kitfox which I did for Chris Sweatman in the 80's and was a great success.

R/C Hangar is now specializing in the making of kits the first been the 1/3 and ΒΌ scale Kitfox which can easily be, with small adjustments be turned into the Bushbaby, Safari or Explorer.

We will continue to turn out kits and will be willing to draw up plans for anyone in any size , have them laser cut and present you with the cut formers and plan as well as supply you with all the bits and pieces to complete the model.

We will of course give any advice on the building. We will even build it for you.

R/C Hangar will also produce glass cowls, wheel pants , we will even repair your broken glass parts or make new for you.
